What do you get when you mix six interns, from five schools nationwide for eight weeks in our Phoenix Sales Office? Yelp’s first Summer Sales Internship.
Their journey started in June, when they began Sales training alongside our Account Executives. They quickly learned the ropes, (and where the ping pong table was) as well as how to demonstrate the power of Yelp to business owners nationwide.
Each intern was mentored by Senior Account Executives throughout their eight-week crash course in Sales. They worked side by side to participate and understand the full sales cycle, build confidence and communication skills, and learn everything there is to know about Yelp (all while making a little extra dough)!

Mid-way through the summer, our interns were asked to participate in a panel to discuss how to present value on each sales call. They willingly shared their experience with our newest sales team and answered questions about best practices.
