New Orleans Elites Made Biscuits at Ruby Slipper’s Newest Location!

Ruby Slipper Cafe has been around since 2008, winning over the people of New Orleans with their award-winning breakfast. Since opening, their success has grown across the Gulf South now in cities such as Metairie, Baton Rouge and even down in Alabama and Florida. From “Catfish Benedict” to “Banana Pudding French Toast”, Ruby Slipper should be your new favorite morning spot.

The Yelp Elites got to check out the brand new Ruby Slipper location in Metairie. With the entire restaurant to themselves, they indulged in a private biscuit making class with the Metairie location’s head chef! Accompanying their lesson, they had the option of a Morning Margarita or a Ruby Slipper Mimosa. They were also presented with chocolate drizzled bacon, because who could resist that? Then the real fun began. Chef Monica walked The Elites through each and every step to get their perfect biscuit. From knowing to use frozen butter to kneading correctly, this process was specific and tons of fun.

By the end of the event, each Elite member had delicious biscuits topped with banana foster, cane butter, or strawberry mimosa jam. The yelpers enjoyed their night at Ruby Slipper and are looking forward to going back. The food, drinks, service and experience were something to remember! We would like to thank the manager and staff for the amazing dishes and make sure to check out their website for a full list of their vendors and menus from each!
