Clayton & Crume, a Louisville leather goods company, opened up its workshop to roughly 50 people with the Yelp Louisville Elite Squad. Clayton & Crume was a dorm room startup turned full-fledged leather shop, which makes bags, belts, journals, tech gear, wallets and much more.
We each pressed a handmade, Louisville-themed leather coaster to take home and celebrated the launch of Matson+Gilman, a new curated travel services company. Matson+Gilman are available to plan events, handle the logistics of special occasions and help you discover the amazing people and small businesses out on the Bourbon Trail. Their outings include everything from tours of distilleries and breweries to one-a-kind meals to hands-on classes (like those offered by Clayton & Crume). It is committed to building an open, fascinating and inclusive city for locals and visitors alike.
We also sipped on a delicious cocktail and samples from Rabbit Hole Distillery. For Rabbit Hole, bourbon is more than a drink. Its unique mashbills and modern approach to whiskey making set it apart from the pack. The art-of-making will meet the art-of-imbibing when its NuLu distillery opens late 2017.
