Last week, Fort Lauderdale celebrated Latin American culture with a brand new promotion called Cultura Club. Yelpers learned how to move their hips atLatin Dance Movement, noshed on decadent bites atCasa唤醒and participated in a Mexican street party atLona Cocina Tequileria.
To kick off the promotion, Yelpers learned some fancy footwork at Latin Dance Movement. The instructor, Hervin, walked attendees through some Salsa basics, before a little break. After some hydrating and mingling, the students learned some bachata steps to round out their dancing arsenal.
At Casa Sensei, we got a taste of how much Latin American flavors are influencing the culinary scene world wide. From innovative sushi rolls to Cuban tostones and Argentine empanadas, this was a world tour for your tastebuds.
The highlight of the week came in the form of a 100+ person street party at Lona Cocina Tequileria! This high energy get together had guests bouncing around from guacamole stations to taco stations while sipping delicious margaritas and Mexican beers.
As a special treat for members of the Yelp Elite Squad, we had some carefully curated tasting menus for them to enjoy. Elites chose betweenInkanto Peruvian Cuisine,Pukara Peruvian CuisineandCAO Bakery & Cafeand dined on dishes such as Lomo Saltado, Media Noches, Ceviche, Arroz Con Pollo fritters and much more.
