How many people can say they went to the movies for a swim? Well the Edmonton Yelp Elite Squad sure can!
The swimming pool atEastglen Leisure Centrewas given a cinematic makeover as we erected a movie screen at the side of the pool so Yelpers could float on giant pizza floaties while watching Finding Dory. Thanks to the Elite Squad for voting for the movie!
This pool boasts an outdoor patio that was brimming with local vendors includingBlaze Pizzawho provided their signature pizzas,Da Vinci Gelato‘s ice cream truck was parked right on the patio,Confetti Sweetsspoiled us with so many cookies andPressed-Ohkept us all hydrated with nitrogen infused teas.
Abby came up from Denver to dish out bags of cotton candy and some of the Yelpers brought their secret guacamole recipes to take part in the ‘Guac Off’. The Guac Off winner was the ‘Gangsta Guac’ made by Jenny A and she won a TIGI beach ready kit fromModern Beauty Supplies. All participants got to take home a pool floatie because they were all so delicious and each guest received a goodie bag which included items from Modern Beauty and a B1G1 admission to any City Pool.
Chilling in the pool while watching a movie was so rad… we might need to make this an annual event!
